Rangers Program

Iranian Cheetah Society has always shown a deep commitment to increasing the motivation and empowerment of rangers in the country. As a result, the Ranger Program was launched in 2014, aimed at providing support to the rangers community. In its first year of operation, the program comprised a “Yahya award” for exceptional rangers and a “Yoozban” award for volunteers and locals who demonstrated extraordinary dedication and contribution to the conservation of cheetahs. Additionally, equipment was provided to support these rangers in their line of duty.

Over 80 rangers from cheetah habitats all over the country were involved in the program, with over 10,000,000,000 IRRs allocated to support these activities over the past decade. The program also plans to implement educational and skill-development programs in partnership with the Department of Environment.
